Summer Reading Challenge 2016

Big-Friendly-ReadMake a difference to a child’s life and volunteer!

Share your enthusiasm and help make our Summer Reading Challenge fun for everyone!

The Summer Reading Challenge is a national scheme provided by the Reading Agency and delivered for free throughout West Berkshire Libraries.

It is designed for children aged 4-11 to read six books throughout the summer holidays, encouraging a lifelong love of books.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to provide support, give out incentives and share the joy of reading.

This is a really great way for students to begin / build  employability skills.  This can be added to a CV and will impress any later employer – it does not matter how many days they do its all about getting involved in a working environment early in their lives – this will definitely stand out on any CV!

If you are interested you can apply online at:

http://www.westberks.gov.uk/volunteer

or contact our Volunteer Coordinator:
