University of Cambridge, Art History Outreach Programme 2016-17

art-prog

Through a series of taster days, school visits and open days, the programme is designed to give humanities-minded, visually-sensitive Year 12 students the opportunity to experience a subject rarely taught in schools, but which builds upon the skills developed in A Level History, English, Art, Philosophy and Ethics and Languages.

What we offer:

Taster Days: 3, 17 and 24 Feb 2017:

At these one-day events students will attend Art History lectures, visit a Cambridge college, speak to current students and spend an afternoon going ‘behind the scenes’ with curators at the Fitzwilliam Museum. Bookings are open NOW via this link. Spaces are limited and will be allocated to eligible students on a first-come first-served basis.

School study days: we can offer a bespoke study day for School A Level groups (studying any humanities or arts-based subject) including visual analysis study sessions in the Fitzwilliam Museum or the Department of Art History, a visit to a Cambridge college and a talk on aspiring to higher education. These days are completely free of charge, and can be arranged by emailing outreach@aha.cam.ac.uk
