We currently have a small Patient Participation Group who meet around 6 times per year at the Surgery and are keen to expand the group. We are looking to recruit a cross section of our patient list but are particularly keen to recruit young adults.
In addition, the Group is in communication with the North & West Reading Commissioning Group of which Tilehurst Surgery is a member. The role of the Group is to communicate health related decisions at commissioning level to our patients.
6th formers can take the opportunity to join our PPG (if they are registered as a patient at our surgery), particularly as involvement with a group of this sort could be an interesting talking point on a CV or for Duke of Edinburgh award, It would make anyone stand out if they wanted to enter a Medical career in the NHS
It would look good on any application!
