Careers Bulletin

confused-characterLast weeks Bulletin can be found here

This weeks Careers Bulletin  can be found here

Lots of Work Experience opportunities this week as well as a fabulous local Year in Industry position for  a student interested in mechanical engineering at degree level.  Summer schools are advertising for students and Microsoft are recruiting for traineeships. (These are very different to apprenticeships)  Employers regard WX as incredibly important in selecting for interview even if you are intending the university route.  Attending summer schools is a very good way of improving your chances of selection to a university course or employment!

The spotlight this week looks at the difference in job prospects for students who take the university route as opposed to the apprenticeship route – makes for an interesting read.

The speakers in school are open to all students in Years 10 – 13 who have signed up.

Latest live apprenticeship vacancies can be found in the Careers Library or by logging onto:  www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeships
