Year Twelve briefing notes – for the week starting Monday 3rd March

number12All,

A few points for this week please.

1. No assembly this week as Year Ten mocks are finishing off. Next week you will have a full formal assembly wit hMs Vignali.

2. Obviously you must now be averaging at least three hours a day outside the classroom. Please use the remaining 8 school weeks as professionally as possible. This means that in a calm way you are focused upon the following;

  • Ensuring that all coursework is at least a grade above your target grade.
  • Ensuring that you have organised and complete notes, and the you understand where your weaknesses are (use your PLPs).
  • Ensuring that you really understand how your exams will be assessed.
  • Ensuring that you attend all offered revision. An hour with a teacher is of course worth two or three of independent study.

3. If you suffer with examination stress can you please make sure that your mentor knows. There is plenty that we can do to help you, but only if we know.

4. Please have a look at the excellent careers posts below.  I have also pinned information about a careers fayre in July at Newbury Rugby club outside my office. It is orgainsed by the Education and Businees partnership for Berkshire. You might like to look at their website – http://www.ebpwb.co.uk/.

Work hard please.

Mr Kydd.
