To both celebrate and reward this year’s Year 13 Media Studies students for all their hard work, the Media Studies Department hosted Oscars Evening on May 22nd 2013.
This year the students created music videos, in groups, to a variety of different songs from different genres.
The individual Oscars are as followed:
Best Special FX: Nikita Mayhew
Outstanding Commitment to Blog: Matt Bell
Best Actor and Best Actress: Jake Burford and Megan Stepney
Best Producer: Emma Bridgewood
Best Director: Kassie Stringer
Best Cinematographer: Courtney Higgs and Imogen Knox
Best Editor: Liam Howells
The Critics Choice Award: Hold On (Liam Howells, Joe Gibbs, Chris Basford, Adam Lynch)
Best Individual Progress: George Pearce
Lifetime Achievement Award: Lana Theodoulou
Best Music Video 2013: Praise You (Beth Jones-White, Patsy Webb, Ellie Smith, Emily Cooper)
