In a work-related context, you will develop skills that will enable you to make an effective contribution to the care sector, including research, evaluation and problem-solving skills. You can apply your learning to a choice of contexts: health, children’s services, care of older people or individuals with specific needs. Placements are a valuable part of year 12 and will allow you to gather evidence for your coursework.
A Level Health & Social Care is fantastic for those of you who enjoy creating project-style work and investigating real situations; our course helps develop your understanding of the diverse and complex nature of the health and social care sector. You will complete 12 units over 2 years which includes 4 exams and 8 pieces of coursework.
