There are a number of useful sites listed below. Most of these are updated monthly, so it would be sensible to check in with them regularly.
Please find the back editions of the Mole magazine here.
Please find the Molecule of the Month here. This is a useful (and hopefully entertaining) web page that publishes links to topical molecules. A new one is published each month and there is a back catalogue including molecules such as Aspirin, Vitamin B12, ATP and Nicotine.
Please find The Essential Chemical Industry Online – here . This is a a really good resource if you need to find out about the chemical industry. It links the science that you learn at GCSE and A level to its application in industry. Very useful if you are considering a career in chemical engineering or are just interested in finding out more.
Finally for the moment, if you are thinking of Oxbridge Chemistry this is helpful first place to look. It includes sections on ‘How to apply/prepare for Oxbridge’ and is basically an online foundation course in Chemistry from Oxford University. Good reading for those planning to apply.

An interesting post and original post from the BBC news magazine section can be found here. In it Dr Mark Lorch asks as “chemistry is everywhere in the world around us – so why are we so scared of it ?”. This question is considered further in this episode of the excellent BBC Radio 4 series Four Thought.
Have a read / listen and see what you think.
